Thank you for submitting your items for appraisal. These two Louis XV style cabriolet fauteuils were made from walnut or stained beech wood of walnut color.
They were made in the second half of the 19th century when this style was again popular during the Louis Philippe style era which lasted well into the 1870s, the so called second rococo. A pair of chairs is always nicer and more in demand than single chairs. Similar pairs are offered regularly at auction. The estimate is based on auction results of the recent past. Asking prices are often higher.
