This is an antique, later 19th century, about 1885, Victorian era, Renaissance Revival style 3 oval back settee. It has 3 pierced cut or reticulated Gothic influenced arched backs with a pseudo-crest and barley twist stiles and stretcher bars with arms terminating in carved lion's heads and upholstered seat, backs and arms. Renaissance Revival style was a popular decor motif in the late 19th century through to the 1930's. Without a maker name of label who produced this and where cannot be definitively stated, this could range from French, English, Italian or American made. Generally, this would have also come as a set with a matching men's and women's chair. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
