This appears to be a mid 19th century Louis Philippe style chair, carved walnut frame decorated with flowers and volutes, cabriole legs, in need of a little upholstery of the seat. It is a lovely antique chair, wide enough for the ladies fashion of that era. The estimate is based on similar items sold in a well advertised auctions. A true book lover and reader who also admires good design and lasting craftsmanship might be willing to pay more than the high estimate. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
