Greetings and thank you for calling upon the experts at Mearto to evaluate your hand-signed, offset lithograph after an oil on canvas painting by noted marine painter Kipp Soldwedel, 1913 - 1999.
A Gathering of Ships in Newport Harbor was released as part of a signed but unnumbered edition, therefore we have no way of knowing how large or small this edition was. The result of this choice by the artist's publisher results in lowering the current market value of this piece. In fact, an example in excellent condition recently sold for $1USD at public auction.

Happy to answer your question but it took a bit of searching. Kipp Soldwedel owned his own publishing company, Ship Lore Ltd.. He produced at least four different sets of prints, each focusing on different sailing themes including: trading ships and the America's Cup.
