What does this mean?

This is an antique, 19th century, 1867, post Civil War pencil written personal diary of a woman, Lizzie Hewitt. Personal diaries are common throughout history and keeping a brief daily journal of one's activities was kept by many who could write. This diary features some mentions of attending lectures at the White House and is likely the highlight of the personal accounts. There is a collector niche for diaries, however the most sought after and valuable are those by either someone historically famous or one kept by a soldier during the Civil War. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
