What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a 1920s or 1930s oak drop front bookcase secretary made from solid and oak veneered plywood. This would have been the typical workplace of the time just perfect to store books, letters and writing utensils. The general taste and ways of writing have changed, therefore prices for secretaries have dropped. The estimate is based on similar sold at auction.
