My grandfather pitched the clock in Florida in 1985 and upon his passing my dad brought it up to PA and later gave it to me. Grandfather clock purchased in 1985 from The Olde London Grandfather Clock Co. Inc. Original receipt says the purchase price was $1260 on 3/17/1985.

The clockface refers to famous clockmakers of the black forest region, depicting a typical cuckoo clock salesman in a kind of black forest landscape with the city of Triberg coat of arms. Longcase clocks of similar quality are offered currently for $ 3-4k directly from the manufacturer. The estimate is based on current auction results. Retail prices are much higher.
