What does this mean?

This is an antique late Meiji era, circa 1890, Japanese porcelain teapot with decoration done in the Satsuma yaki style that hails from the Satsuma Province in southern Kyushu. The mark indicates this is a piece by the Kinkozan clan, though decorated in the Satsuma style, Kinkozan clan wares are Awata Kyo-yaki. The piece was made for export and is hand decorated with gold and detailed designs. Although the gold is real, there is no longer a precious metal meltdown value as the cost to extract the gold would exceed the value of the amount extracted. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
