This is a vintage mid 20th century original painting that is illegibly signed and dated '57 for 1957. It is of a street perspective view of what appears to be St. Nicholas Church in Prague, Czech Republic. The painting is done with heavy impasto (raised area) paint and the details were scratched, or 'sgraffito'(d) into the surface using the opposite tip end of a paint brush. These were generally sold by street artists to the tourist market as souvenirs. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
