This appears to be a very fine persian tableau rug , 123 x 81 cm, depicting in the central fild two young woman, one playing the barbat lute, the other pouring liquid from a rosewater bottle, surrounded with blue and dark red borders, decorated with flowers and foliage. Similar tableau rugs are being offered and sold at auction. The estimate is based on rugs of comparable quality and size offered or sold at auction.
