What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a late 1980s federal style grandfather clock or tall case clock. I assume you are still in the possession of the dealer´s receipt which will let you know all the details of the clockwork. These tall case clocks were a must have in the 1980s, but today the general tast has changed and auction results are pretty low. The estimate is based on similar by Ridgeway or Howard Miller sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary.
