Inheritance when I bought my first house. Chairs were originally purchased in the 1950s from a furniture manufacturer in southwest Ontario. No markings that would provide any idea where they were made.
I have owned the chairs since 2008.
This is a pair of matching vintage, 20th century wood armchairs with upholstered seat and backs. They are done in an amalgam of styles that emerged in previous centuries, including Hepplewhite, Sheraton and Victorian. Without a maker label, tag or mark who produced the pair cannot be definitively stated. The estimate is for the pair together and is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
Thank you for your timely response, it is appreciated!
You are very welcome!
Please add well-lit clear images of the undersides of the chairs and the corner where the leg meets the seat frame so I can see the joinery and hardware used to construct this.
