This is an antique to vintage, early 20th century, sideboard type table that is done in a black lacquered style surface paint and constructed with mortise and tenon and finger joinery. Based on the form, color, joinery, light weight of the wood and overall aesthetic, this is likely an Asian, possibly Chinese, altar table. The only elements that do not 'jive', so to speak, are the drawer handle pulls, which may have been replaced at some time (check the inside of the drawer for evidence of the handles possibly having been changed.
