Tressel Table w/ leaves
14 February 2019
Description

I inherited this, and know nothing. The finish on top is messed up, it looks like tape was peeled off, and pulled varnish off. Also has some scratches from use. It has 2 leaves that sit under the table top, that slide out.

What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a first quarter20th century solid oak extendable trestle table, the solid oak table top supported by baluster shaped columns. This extending dining table was built to last. Any light damages to the surface can be removed easily by sanding down the old lacquer. This is semi-antique table and the patina it acquired does not yet represent a value in itself. The estimate is based on similar tables sold at auction. Prices in the trade are usually higher and can vary.
