Good day... I have discovered a rare looking and yet very old bayonet on one of my treasure hunting journeys and would live for you to help me gain information on this bayonet. Looks like its an old civil war bayonet...It has some engravings on it but to old to decifer what it says....I am not certain if it is a bayonet from the civil war or if its a bayonet from WW2....its hard to make out the engravings....although it really old....please help me determine what exactly it is and where it might of originated from.....as well as if its worth anything to sell to a collector or museum if any....just to ease my curiosity...I am not quit sure if I want to sell ot or pass it down to my sons....We would love to know the history in it though...Here are some limited distinctive details about the bayonet..... Its about 11inches long, the blade...extremely old..and I can send pictures if you like...
