What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This is a chinese oxblood / flambe glaze vase of the 19th century, showing the typical crude treatment of the footrim. Unfortunately the vase is seriously damaged and therefore it will be very difficult to sell. There are still large numbers of the same quality vases in perfect condition available from which a prospective buyer could chose from.
A japanese gold lacquer restoration would be an acceptable way to restore the vase and give it a more acceptable appearance.
I hope the information provided was helpful to you.
