4 ft 6 ins tall, base size 20 ins. Bronze decorative pot stand. in 3 sections . I think its chinese dating 1850 to 1890. mixture of birds and snakes displayed on it.

This appears to be a japanese Meiji Period bronze or pot metal planter on stand, intricately decorated with birds in the clouds, prunus and cherry branches, palmettes and dragons. Such planters on stand were made during the late 19th century for export to western countries. Prices for japanese antiques have been relatively low for the last thirty years. The estimate is based on actual auction results for items sold recently at auction. Prices in the trade are usually much higher.
