This very nice hand knotted side by side rug was (apparently) a elephant riding rug, it measures 79x60 and it is incredibly detailed with a super tight weave and beautiful shimmer and very long tassels. The condition is excellent, no tips, stains or fading.

This piece was purchased from the Vandervoorn estate, Mr Vandervoorn was a very famous surfer back in the 60's and 70's. Unfortunately I didn't grey much more info other that it was originaly purchased in Afganistan and it was ceremonial elephant riding rug.
